A barren womb renewed miraculous,
Elizabeth bore John in her old age.
God’s blessing sent to her by promise made
to Zechariah as he offered in-
cense in the temple. This miracle child,
conceived mere months before the Holy Spir-
it fell on virgin Mary and the Christ
Child entered time from infinity, was
the prophet prophesied centuries past
who would prepare the way for Messiah.
In baptism, man’s fragile hands touched God-
Man. Father, Spirit, Son born witness to.
John saw True Light and cried out to the throng,
“Behold, the Lamb of God come to the world!”
